We recently cruised aboard the Spirit of Adventure while it was chartered by the National Trust for Scotland. We booked a week's cruise around Scotland, visiting some of the northern isles as well as St Kilda and Canna. The cruise was really well organised and the staff very friendly and helpful. The Trust had arranged for a super team of guest speakers and professional Scottish musicians to entertain us on the cruise. The ship itself is super, well equipped and very comfortable. The cabins are bright and well appointed with comfortable beds and lots of little extras such as bathrobes, luxury toiletries and binoculors in each cabin. The food on board is always excellent and the open seating arrangement is a great way of meeting lots of fellow passengers. Meals are served in a single setting allowing a great deal of freedom as to when you eat. The atmosphere on board is really friendly and the Captain, crew and NTS staff could not do enough to help. The shore excursions are organised by the National Trust for Scotland and each day there is a wide range to choose from to suit all interests and abilities. I also like the fact that cruising with the National Trust for Scotland means that I am supporting Scotland's largest conservation charity.
